Claremont Fan Court School hosted the annual Surrey Schools' Baking Challenge, with nine local schools competing for the converted Baking Challenge Trophy.
On Wednesday 14 March, seventeen budding bakers, who had already won baking competitions at their own schools, came to Claremont Fan Court School to compete for the U12 and U14 Baking Challenge trophies.
Judges, the Mayor of Elmbridge and Consort; Claremont alumni and local bakery owners, Nicole and Lauren Dodds; and former Claremont Fan Court catering manager Nick Gauna, were very impressed with the high standard and creativity of entries from all pupils. Judges thoroughly enjoyed tasting each cake!
“Yet another year of incredibly talented young bakers who have worked so hard to produce such imaginative cakes for this competition. Well done to all bakers and great thanks to our judges for taking on the difficult challenge of choosing the winners!”
