Sixth Form students, with Year 11 pupils tookpart in a Q&A session with three Claremont Fan Court School alumni, Sophie Stiewe, Emma Souter and James Clarke.

All three guests spoke about their experiences of university and degree apprenticeships. Emma who is at the University of Bath studying Education with Psychology and Sophie who is at Oriel College, University of Oxford studying Biochemistry were able to give useful advice on the application process and an insight into life as a university student.

James, who is on a degree apprenticeship programme at the prestigious Deloitte LLP explained how this programme offers an alternative pathway into further education and employment and was able to explain the application process and possible career progression.

This was a useful first session for the students, many of whom are currently completing their own university applications.

If you would like to return to the School to offer advice and take part in our Critial Thinking programme please do get in touch via alumni@claremont.surrey.sch.uk
