The annual Fan Court plays of the 1950's seem to have had an historic theme, with titles such as Queen Elizabeth play (1951) and King Charles play (1952). What a fun way to bring history to life.

Fan Court School opened in 1932 as a boy's preparatory school, in Longcross, Surrey. It did later admit girls, daughters of staff members and sisters with siblings in the school. In 1978 Fan Court merged with Claremont (a girl's senior school) and relocated to the Claremont site in Esher. The original Fan Court estate was sold off and broken up into a number of private residential properties.
