We invite you to join us for an afternoon of history and nostalgia as we retrace the steps of royalty with tours of Claremont Mansion and the National Trusts Landscape Garden *(tickets sold separately). Tickets for guided garden tours of the Claremont Landscape Garden are also available to buy here https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/claremont-landscape-garden/whats-on* Queen Victoria had a nostalgic fondness for Claremont, often staying at The Mansion as a child and an adult. In the first release of Queen Victoria's Journals marking the anniversary of Queen Victoria's birth and also the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of HM Queen Elizabeth II in 2012, Victoria describes a visit to Claremont the day before her birthday saying: "The dear place looks so nice & all the rooms upstairs are just the same, which made me think of happy days spent here in my childhood." Refreshments and merchandise will be available to purchase at the Mansion (please note that we only accept cash payments). Guide dogs only. Not suitable for wheelchair users. All proceeds go towards our heritage fund and the restoration of the estate. *Please note these are two seperate tours, you are welcome to attend both but must have purchased individual tickets for both events. No ticket no admittance.
